The Hobie race development team has spent countless hours of racing and testing the 12-6 race hull, the design team utilizes state of the art computer designs to refine this race hull to go fast and be stable in all race conditions. The unique outline shape with a sharp nose and the wide point of the board behind center allows us to incorporate a wider outline without sacrificing the overall speed of the board. This model is fast and stable it will go fast in flat, windy and choppy conditions and is also great for cutting through upwind chop or surfing down wind swells. The Hobie 12-6 CF-5 Carbon SUP Race Hull dominated the legendary “Battle of the Paddle 2008”. Hobie Team rider Chuck Patterson took the overall win with 3 other Hobie team riders finishing in the top 11 in the elite event.
